My toddler is making herself sick!

So you know how toddlers love doing things that grab your attention, like head butting walls and screaming at the tops of their little lungs. Tia’s newest party trick is to ram her whole fist in her mouth and making herself gag. Clever girl. :-/
So the first few times she did it, both me and her dad asked her not too, she will make herself sick and she would smirk and do it more.
So we started ignoring it, she must be doing it to get a reaction right?
Well both yesterday and today she’s made herself sick! How can I not react to that!? I have to clean it and her up, make sure she’s ok and give her a drink. I just don’t know how to handle this now, is ignoring the right way to go? I tried saying no and taking her hand away from her mouth but it’s then a game. She loves to do what I ask her not too so that’s not the way to go. I ignored her when she started head butting the wall and she stopped doing that very quickly. But she’s been doing this about six weeks now, but yesterday was the first time she made herself sick.
Do you have a defiant toddler who does this? How do you handle it?
