So today was my beautiful daughters first birthday and she’s officially a baby no more *weeps*
It’s been a truly lovely day, she awoke and had her milk then got dressed as normal. Then she helped to open all her birthday cards.
We had set up all her presents in the living room the night before and we kept her away from the room until her grandparents popped round about 10am. Her face when she saw it all, I know she was more excited about the balloons rather then the presents. She doesn’t know what presents are, balloons however….!
After opening up a few of her presents it was nap time! Daddy was a bit upset about this as she hadn’t opened up her megabloks yet, I had to remind him it was her day not his and she could do what she wanted lol.
We had a quick tidy up whilst she slept and had our breakfast. When she woke up she went straight over to her remaining presents to find more goodies! She’s not a silly girl this one!
After she had opened all her presents and most of them had passed Tia’s “special” taste test, we all went out for a walk to out local shops to buy something for lunch. We took Tia’s new trike much to her delight! She made car noises the whole way there and back.
We had a spot of lunch when we got home, then daddy went to bed (he’s on nightshifts and should have slept most of the day!) and we went to visit a few people to say thank you personally for Tia’s gifts. Tia used her new car seat for the first time and must have found it comfortable as she fell asleep in it! She squeezed in three naps today, so my conclusion is that birthdays must be exhausting!
