We love messy play here, but we haven’t managed to do any for ages!
We have had a lovely summer and been outdoors making the most of it, then recently packing. We are moving house and we are surrounded by boxes from seemingly non stop packing.
The sponges do come with a handy instruction and idea sheet if you need it, we discarded it and got stuck straight it! Tia squealed with delight when she saw the goodies being offered to her, I had removed her clothes and put her in an old vest just in case the paint stained. We made some bunny shapes first then tried the duck, quack quack!
The sponges come with background scenes to print straight on with the sponges which I thought was very clever.
The sponges seemed to pick up more paint after we had used our hands in the pad, this is most likely as we had softened it a little bit and we were then able to make much better shapes. I’m pleased to say that the paint really is actually washable too! It came straight of the sponges and Tia’s hands with some Luke warm water, no soap needed (though I did)
We are looking forward to having another painting day soon. I shall order a few other colour pads I think as for a paint product, it wasn’t massively messy as it’s in a sponge. Both these products are recommended 3 years + but can be used with younger children with full supervision. If you are looking for a great rainy day activity with little fuss, get yourself some of these from here
Disclaimer, we were very kindly sent an ink pad and a set of sponges for this review. All words, photos and opinions are my own.
