The kindness of strangers never fails to amaze me. Sure there are a few bad eggs but they are few and far between with the good far outweighing the bad. Everyday kindness can just be a tweet showing you care, letting someone else know that you are thinking of them. This can really make such a difference to how people are feeling. It’s so good to know you’re not alone, and twitter I find is great for this.
We are a tight knit community who always try to help each other out. I have watched a pregnant lady who is suffering with HG get send food parcels for her and her family, a fantastic thought and one that makes such a difference. Yesterday, a kind lady set up a donation page for a family who are struggling financially due to long hospital stays with a new baby and a new job not paying wages.
Strangers, all helping each other out. I posted the other day about needing some items for our new home, and I was contacted by a lady whom I tweet with regularly to say I could have an item that I needed and she didn’t use any more. How kind is that? A stranger, helping out another stranger. Today my postman knocks and look what he brought me.
I actually cried tears that a stranger, had gone out of her way to send me this. Because I haven been so unwell, it’s made me feel so loved. *sobs*
Now I’m not suggesting that we all start sending each other gifts, believe me if I had any money in the bank I would want too but that’s not always possible. But if you see someone, anyone struggling online or feeling down/sick. Please reach out to them and let them know they are not alone, ask them how they are and say hello, it can make such a difference to someone’s day. X
