Two years smoke free.

Well, two yeas and nine days when writing this post to be exact! And I’m so proud of everyone of those days, and believe me some of them have been so hard. I’ve wanted nothing more then to run to the local shop and buy some. But I’ve resisted, and the cravings never last long. It’s been a lot easier since my husband joined me in the non smoking club. He declared to me back in October that he really wanted to take part in stoptober, but he was too late. It was the 2nd! I told him not to be silly, it’s never to late and he quit the very next day. His story is different to mine, I quit the second I found out I was pregnant. I didn’t even need to think about it, I was gearing up to quit on the Monday anyway as I had just joined the gym and knew it was going to hinder me. I found out on the Friday before! My husband however has needed help, he has quit using a device know as a electric cigarette. It’s called vaping, and basically he’s still getting nicotine, but in a water vapour and with none of the rubbish. He’s done so well, I’m crazy proud of him! He’s not had a single cigarette since October 3rd and he’s not missed it either. There are serval types of Ecigs on the market, the type that he originally quit with which you can read about here. and you also get the disposable kind.

The disposable ones are great if your going out somewhere and don’t want to lose your larger and far more expensive model. These are perfect for when Michael goes out to play pool once a month. They last approx two days, depending on how heavy a smoker you are and can be purchased from most large supermarkets.

  1. Well done! I quit smoking almost 3 and a half years ago. I still get the occasional craving, but would never smoke again! Even the smell makes me gag now!
